Description

Navigator RN - Breast Center at Saint Johns Health Center in Santa, Monica, CA. this is a full-time, day position that will work 10-hour shift.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Breast Surgical Oncology Nurse Navigator to join our multidisciplinary team in the Breast Center. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patients through their breast cancer journey, providing education, resources, and personalized care coordination from diagnosis to treatment. This role will provide support to our surgical oncologist during clinic and will serve as the patients/families point of contact in guiding them through the healthcare system.

Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the RN Navigator coordinates cancer patient care and acts as a patient advocate. This includes monitoring patients through screening/diagnostic evaluation, assisting them with navigation through healthcare systems, providing education and emotional care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being, and identification and support in the development of programs and services to enhance patient care and support. The RN Navigator also provides education for general surgery patients.

Required Qualification:

  • Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 3 years Clinical nursing experience as Registered Nurse

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Upon hire: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
  • 3 years Outpatient experience in a healthcare setting
  • Oncology experience
