Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Graphic Arts Team Leader to manage our graphics production and quality assurance processes. In this role, you will oversee the graphic arts team, ensuring that all print materials meet our high standards for design and accuracy. Your extensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite, prepress, and team management will be crucial in driving the quality and efficiency of our production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Supervise and guide a team of graphic designers and prepress technicians, providing leadership and support to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Delegate tasks and manage workloads to ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Mentor team members and provide training to enhance their skills and knowledge in design and prepress.

Graphics Production Oversight:

  • Oversee the creation and production of all graphic materials for direct mail campaigns, ensuring they align with client specifications and brand guidelines.
  • Review and approve design layouts, graphics, and print-ready files, ensuring visual and technical accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and data management, to integrate personalized content effectively into designs.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure that all printed materials meet company and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough QA checks on print materials, including verifying color accuracy, image resolution, and overall print quality.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to design, production, or data integration, working closely with the production team to implement solutions.

Process Improvement:

  • Develop and refine production workflows and quality control procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in design and prepress technologies to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Ensure that best practices for digital prepress and color management are followed to achieve optimal print results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in graphic arts production, including a proven track record of team management.
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and prepress processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills:
