Shift Leader Job Description

This Dunkin' Donuts restaurant is an independently owned and operated franchise under a license granted by DD Franchising LLC.

As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for coaching Crew Members to execute operational standards and deliver a great guest experience. You will set goals, provide job assignments, and motivate others to achieve success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Arrive on time and be ready to start the shift, communicating responsibilities and providing feedback to team members.
  • Deploy team members effectively to meet guests' needs and service standards throughout the shift.
  • Communicate shift priorities, goals, and results with team members.
  • Support training of Crew Members as directed by the Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Hold guests as the highest priority and role model exceptional guest service.
  • Drive a sense of urgency through Crew Members to satisfy guests' needs and resolve problems.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety, food safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor team performance to ensure quality, service, and cleanliness standards are met throughout the shift.
Requirements:
  • Basic computer skills
  • Restaurant, retail, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Math and writing skills
  • Ability to operate restaurant equipment
  • Compliance with restaurant operations
Competencies:
  • Appearance: Adhere to uniform standards, including a hat, name tag, clean pressed apron, and navy blue collared shirt.
  • Guest Focus: Anticipate and understand guests' needs, exceed their expectations, and develop and maintain guest and community relationships.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Identify and resolve issues, communicate with management, and use information to make decisions.
  • Interpersonal Relationships & Influence: Develop and maintain relationships with team members, operate with integrity, and demonstrate honesty and respect.
