Role Title: SAP SuccessFactors Consultant (Payroll and Employee Central)

Role Description:

The primary focus of this role will be supporting SAP HCM functionalities, particularly SuccessFactors payroll. You will be instrumental in the enhancement and maintenance of the SuccessFactors EC-Payroll system. Collaboration with Technical Leads, Engineers, Architects, and Operations teams will be essential to develop design solutions. Additionally, you will provide input to Product Managers regarding planning roadmaps and backlog prioritization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, testing, deploying, and supporting automated solutions.


Requirements:

- Possess a minimum of 7-8 years of experience in leading, supporting, and implementing SAP Payroll (ECC and SuccessFactors).

  • Have a thorough understanding of HCM functions and related HR business processes.
  • Manage and maintain the SAP ECC HCM system and SuccessFactors EC Payroll.
  • Design, configure, and maintain all SAP payroll components, including deductions, cumulations, date & period modifiers, and benefit deductions integration.
  • Enable and configure payroll features in both ECC and EC Payroll.
  • Have a good understanding of PA/OM, Time, and Finance integration with Payroll.
  • Configure and maintain all wage types and determine taxation rules.
  • Experienced in managing BSI upgrades, cyclic updates, reviewing taxes for all 50 states and local authorities in the US, and gross-up tax calculations.
  • Configure US garnishments remittance and deduction rules, and resolve related issues.
  • Configure FI GL mapping, posting to accounting in on-premise SAP FI & third-party remittance, and month-end accruals.
  • Create new time types for absences, absence counting, and quota accruals.
  • Maintain or create new payroll and time management rules for overtime, double time, and incentives.
  • Handle SAP Payroll year-end adjustments and claims functionality.
  • Set up and test prototypes in lower environments, provide POC for new solutions, and facilitate knowledge transfer to business and other support team members.
  • Collaborate with developers to create new payroll interfaces for external vendors and reports for internal customers.
  • Utilize ABAP Query to create and run reports such as Payroll reconciliation to address payroll queries.
  • Review, analyze, and test the impact of payroll-related changes included in SAP HR support packages and participate in upgrade projects.
  • Must have experience with SuccessFactors EC Payroll.
  • Experienced in SAP Payroll to EC Payroll transformation and comfortable working with both systems.
  • Familiarity with AGILE methodology and daily scrum reporting.
  • Proficient in using ServiceNow, HP ALM, Jira, Teams, and MS Office tools.
  • Knowledgeable in working with SailPoint/IDV and SAP security for access-related issues.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills to identify the root cause of production issues and provide resolutions.
