As part of your responsibilities, you will be instrumental in developing and expanding business opportunities with Northern California's OEM, distributor, and strategic end-user accounts, offering a promising platform for your professional growth.


The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding the targeted sales volume for the entire portfolio of power transmission products, with an emphasis on high-precision servo and gearmotor solutions.


This role requires managing and expanding a large geographic region effectively and influencing purchasing decisions at various organizational levels.


As the business expands, you may have to hire and manage direct (Sales Engineer) and indirect (Manufacturer's Rep) sales personnel.


YOU MUST RESIDE IN Northern California to do this job (e.g., San Jose, San Francisco)


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote high precision gearing product sales in a defined geographical territory, emphasizing finding and developing new machine builder accounts. Travel roughly 40% of the time.
  • Prioritize accounts based on current and potential revenue/profits, cost to sell and service, and probability of success.
  • Responsible for learning about all competing products and their target applications to conduct practical sales activities.
  • Represent the company at various trade shows, conferences, and distributor events. Also, provide necessary training.
  • Assist in creating marketing materials, such as presentations, product literature, and web content, to maximize exposure to the target market.
  • Please let the channel and company management know about market conditions.
  • Train and support junior personnel, establish sales goals and monitor their progress.
  • Delegate tasks as necessary.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or marketing/business administration, with at least three years of experience in industrial automation sales.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals with over three years of experience in direct sales to large OEMs and motion control distributors.
  • Strong technical background in the motion control industry, including knowledge of servomotors, precision gearboxes, and other related motion control products.
  • Solid understanding of sizing servo systems (mechanical and electrical) to help customers find the best solution.

Compensation: Competitive salary DOE plus incentive compensation
