Job Summary: The Director of Advisor Technology will be a vital resource within IAA, dedicated to equipping financial advisors with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively utilize technology tools that enhance their business operations. This role requires a dynamic individual who excels in both technology and training, with a passion for helping others succeed in a fast-evolving financial landscape.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Advisor Education: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to educate financial advisors on the suite of technology tools offered by IAA, including CRM systems, portfolio management software, financial planning tools, and other digital platforms.
  • Technology Implementation: Assist advisors in the seamless integration and adoption of new technology tools into their practice, ensuring they understand how to use these resources to optimize their business processes and client service.
  • Training Development: Create and maintain up-to-date training materials, including manuals, video tutorials, webinars, and interactive courses, tailored to various learning styles and levels of technological proficiency.
  • Ongoing Support: Provide continuous support and coaching to advisors, addressing any technology-related questions or issues, and offering personalized training sessions as needed.
  • Feedback & Improvement: Gather feedback from advisors on the effectiveness of technology tools and training programs and collaborate with internal teams to refine and enhance these offerings.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay informed on the latest technology trends and innovations in the financial services industry and recommend new tools or enhancements to keep IAA and its advisors at the forefront of the industry.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor advisor engagement with technology tools and assess the impact on their business performance, providing insights and recommendations to drive further adoption and effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure the smooth deployment of new technology solutions and the alignment of training programs with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Event Coordination: Organize and lead technology training events, including workshops, conferences, and webinars, to create a collaborative learning environment and foster advisor community.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a training, technology management, or similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of the RIA industry and the technology needs of financial advisors.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Proficiency in financial software systems, CRM platforms, and other relevant technology tools.
  • Experience in instructional design and adult learning methodologies.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and/or possess strong data analysis skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
