Job Summary
The Senior Risk Analyst will assist the Risk & Control Manager with oversight of the compliance and risk processes that span all The Forge Companies entities (two Insurance Agencies, a SEC-Registered Investment Advisory firm, a State Chartered Trust Company, and Bookkeeping/Payroll Processing firm). This individual will work closely with leadership to design, manage, and implement a risk based RCSA program across the organization. The approach will include an organization-wide Risk Assessment exercise, review of Policy and Procedures manuals for each entity, and review of internal controls for critical processes.
Essential Functions
- Design and implement a risk based RCSA program and plan, execute, and document test work in support of RCSA assignments.
- Collaborate with key employees and management within a business function to diagnose risks and process improvement opportunities.
- Escalate significant risk issues identified and research viable solutions and alternatives.
- Work with management to develop, implement, and monitor processes and policy changes throughout the organization.
- Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders, establishing a culture of engagement while adding value.
- Participate and assist in risk assessments across The Forge Companies.
- Assist Risk & Control Manager with compliance calendar.
- Conduct third party due diligence per vendor management program.
- Other duties/special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- College Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years+ experience in audit, risk, or compliance roles.
- Must have experience with RCSA and remediation / tracking issues
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong research, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Contribute to a business climate and culture that fosters integrity, respect, excellence, and innovation.
- Ability to self-identify opportunities for business and process improvement.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong attitude and adapts easily to a constantly changing environment.
- Experience working with Orion Compliance management program is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Travel Requirements
- Less than 5% of the time, but occasional travel is necessary.
- Hybrid work schedule
