Position Overview:
The HR Director will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role is key to ensuring that the company attracts, retains, and develops top talent while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The HR Director will work closely with the leadership team to implement strategies that align with the company’s mission and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment efforts, including creating job descriptions, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations. Ensure the recruitment process aligns with the company’s diversity and inclusion goals.
- Onboarding: Develop and implement an effective onboarding process that integrates new hires smoothly into the company culture and provides them with the tools they need to succeed.
- Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and issues, providing guidance and support. Foster a positive work environment through conflict resolution, mediation, and promoting open communication.
- Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, provide guidance on career development, and assist in creating individualized development plans. Implement strategies to improve employee performance and engagement.
- Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Compensation and Benefits: Develop and manage competitive compensation structures, benefits programs, and employee recognition initiatives. Conduct market research to ensure our offerings are attractive and aligned with industry standards.
- Culture and Engagement: Promote and sustain a positive company culture that aligns with the startup’s values and mission. Organize team-building activities, workshops, and other initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
- Policy Development:Create, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures. Regularly review and update policies to ensure they meet the needs of the company and comply with legal requirements.
- HR Metrics:Develop and analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decisions. Present findings to the leadership team and recommend actions based on data insights.
- Leadership Support:Provide coaching and support to managers and team leaders on HR-related matters, helping them to effectively manage their teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment with both exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
