To help us continue to grow our offerings, we are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will suggest and implement equipment purchases, modifications or calibration changes in order to improve productivity outputs and reduce costs related to production. The Manufacturing Engineer will also support new product development initiatives

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with new product designs
  • Provide improvements to existing product designs and manufacturing processes
  • Create manufacturing fixtures and tools to improve manufacturing process
  • Develop and implement new methods and procedures that improve flow, reduce cost, and/or improve quality
  • Perform office and computer-aided studies and prepare reports based on findings from research, studies, and surveys; and make recommendations on findings.
  • Establish operating metrics to measure departmental performance.
  • Coordinate among appropriate departments in order to meet lead times and deadlines
  • Maintains good manufacturing processes in order to prevent damage to equipment
  • Monitor production labor to produce high quality standards with low monetary output


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering
  • 2-5 years' of manufacturing engineering experience
  • AutoCAD and/or AutoDesk Suite experience preferred
  • Excellent mechanical and technical aptitude and a hands-on approach to process improvement
  • Preferred Lean manufacturing certification or related certification
