  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters affecting insurance products, underwriting, claims processing, and other operational areas.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing insurance operations and ensure the company's compliance with them.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including policy documents, reinsurance agreements, distribution agreements, and vendor contracts.
  • Provide legal guidance on claims handling procedures, coverage determinations, and dispute resolution
  • Collaborate with claims adjusters and external legal counsel to manage and resolve insurance claims efficiently and effectively.
  • Identify legal risks associated with insurance products, business practices, and corporate transactions.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate legal risks and minimize potential liabilities for the company.
  • Manage insurance-related litigation and regulatory proceedings.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law in the insurance industry, preferably with a focus on insurance regulatory compliance, insurance coverage disputes, or insurance litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and industry practices.
