Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Design and Development:
  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows.
  • Develop new manufacturing processes and update existing ones to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Design and modify tools, fixtures, and equipment to improve production capabilities.

  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas of inefficiency or waste in production and implement improvements.
  • Lead or participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as Kaizen events, 5S, Six Sigma projects, etc.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all products meet required specifications and standards.
  • Implement and maintain quality control systems to monitor product quality and process stability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any quality issues.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead or assist in the planning, implementation, and tracking of manufacturing projects.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., design, procurement, and maintenance) to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing projects.
  • Cost Reduction:
  • Identify opportunities to reduce production costs without sacrificing quality or efficiency.
  • Implement cost-saving measures such as reducing material usage, optimizing labor, and improving machine efficiency.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety improvements.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support to the production team to resolve any manufacturing issues.
  • Train production staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Support maintenance teams with technical expertise for machinery and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in technical drawing and understanding of manufacturing blueprints.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and safety standards.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or related fields.
