Job Summary

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer at Coherent, you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of process control methodology and experience in manufacturing engineering.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement new manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop process equipment
* Conduct process improvements to reduce costs and eliminate dependencies on expensive items
* Ensure quality targets are met while meeting cost targets

Requirements

* BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials Science, or Ceramics Engineering preferred)
* 7+ years' experience in manufacturing utilizing process control methodology
* 5+ years' experience in direct manufacturing process engineering
* 3+ years' experience in offshore operations support in Asia

Working Conditions

* Normal office conditions with occasional exposure to chemicals, noise, and dust on the manufacturing floor
* May be required to wear finger cots or gloves, masks, and safety glasses
* May need to stand for long periods and move heavy objects occasionally
