Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team at SES Government Solutions. As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for facilitating cross-functional teams engaged in location-specific continuous improvement activities using enterprise-wide standard methods for value creation and waste elimination in accordance with industry standard strategic deployments of Lean and Six Sigma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for manufacturing process development, implementation, and continuous improvement to enhance Quality/Yield, reduce Cost, and improve Productivity/Schedule.
  • Initiate and lead lean manufacturing process improvement projects.
  • Involved in implementing lean manufacturing tools on the production floor.
  • Perform time studies, calculate tact time vs cycle time, and develop basic manufacturing flow and capacity plans.
  • Specify and implement equipment and processes including efficient layout and optimization of material and information flows.
  • Provide production support to assemblers and leads. Document manufacturing processes and assembly work instructions in conjunction with the manufacturing engineering team.
  • Design shop/visual aid tooling to assist production.
  • Coordinate layout and work station move activities.
  • Prepares time estimates for proposed projects and evaluates time factors.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field (Industrial Engineering Preferred).
  • 0-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills especially regarding manufacturing processes, engineering issues and proposed changes and dispositions.
