The Role: This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to advance their hotel sales career with a fast-growing boutique hotel group. This role requires a high level of entrepreneurial spirit and self-motivation, with a true passion for selling. This role is not one that provides non-stop inbound leads, this is for someone who loves to network, attend events, cold call and make magic happen The primary sales efforts are focused on group and event opportunities portfolio wide and include heavy prospecting independently as well as entertaining, correspondence with incoming leads post qualification, arranging tours, negotiating, contracting and proper pass off to the Event Service Manager based out of Palm Springs..

We create and operate hotels in places we love to visit Our portfolio includes Casa Cody in the heart of iconic Palm Springs, The Pearl Hotel in San Diego, Hotel Marina Riviera in Big Bear Lake as well as The Surfrider in Malibu. Coming later this year we will open Hotel Willa in Taos, New Mexico, and Hotel Lucille in the heart of Los Angeles in the neighborhood of Silverlake. A project in upstate New York in the town of Hudson kicks off this summer. The portfolio is expanding at an intentional yet fast pace.



Responsibilities

  •  Fully develop the Group Market Segment through the solicitation of new profitable group business and the re-booking of current group business in both rooms and events
  • Serve as the lead Sales Manager to the team leading the group with experience, knowledge and brings thoughtful ideas and answers to the table.
  • Contributes to the annual Casetta Group marketing plan from a sales perspective alongside the VP of Sales & Marketing 
  • Meet or exceed weekly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, targets and initiatives. Log sales goals, meetings, next steps and inquiry progress in google drive.
  • Network & research to capture competitor’s accounts.
  • Create relationships with trade industry professionals, corporate and social planners
  • Attend tradeshows in and out of the market – determine best ROI shows to attend that fit brand initiatives and company ethos.
  • Maintain a complete database of accounts in defined territories.
  • Regularly perform sales calls and schedule sales blitzes
  • Actively participate in community and industry organizations and travel where needed for client appointments, site visits etc. to benefit the portfolio’s exposure to the community and revenue growth.
  • Develop SMART Plans & Development Goals as well as Marketplace Action Plans quarterly.
  • Covers the events email for hot inquiries any time the other sales team members are OOO
  • Assist team in creating and supporting marketing events such as programming and PR events
  • Work closely with all departments as needed including Director of Operations, Hotel General Managers, Chief of Staff, and Revenue Management departments to ensure that all details are communicated to ensure a successful meeting experience.
  • Promote all Casetta properties and offer information to clients to cross sell the brand, as well and promote other memberships and relationships available for members at participating resorts.

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hotel sales experience – coordinator experience welcome to apply. Experience in a hotel is required. 
  • Successful sales track record 
  • A love and appreciation for the hospitality industry
  • Strong oral, written and organization skills
  • Data-Driven
