Join the Dollar General journey and see how your career can thrive.Job details general summary: The director of insights will be responsible for developing and leading the reporting & insights in support of strategic efforts both internally and externally by identifying ways to maximize advertiser media investment, bring innovated ideas, and deeper knowledge of the customer we serve. In addition to managing a future team, responsibilities include:Manage marketing/measurement analysts driving standard reports and insightsIdentify marketing and industry analytics needsFormulate recommendations for cross functional teams including sales, digital marketing, planning & buying and ad productOversee omnichannel efforts and aggregates all sources of insights to support sales/category strategy (incl., digital and non-digital media efforts)Engage with clients as a thought leader/contributorQualifications knowledge, skills and abilities:Proven experience evaluating media performance and insights to provide thought leadership and recommendations for actionExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written, presentation, people, and diplomacy skillsExecutive presence and readiness to engage with c-suite leadershipAbility to oversee, lead, and develop team members cross functionally (ex. category marketing, sales/partnership marketing, data science, planning & buying and tech teams)Ability to navigate with cross functional tech teams and managing tech solution architects for ad hoc development needsBias for action to manage and make decisions to advance the work in a fast-paced environmentWork experience and/or education:Bachelor's degree required5-7 years of experience in digital analytics management, digital marketing insights or reporting management role at a publisher, ad network, or retail media network in a consultative experience5+ years of people management experience or in a leadership individual contributor roleExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., tableau, power bi.) retail analytics - nielsen or iri experience is a plus; basic to intermediate level of sql knowledge is a plus.Expert in analytical tools and statistical models, with ability to create a system for data science translation into business terms and derive a story and strategy from data and a deep understanding of
