Position Overview

The Center of Hope for Behavioral Health is entering an exciting season of strategic growth and is seeking an exceptional Executive Director to help lead the organization into its next chapter of impact.

The Center of Hope for Behavioral Health is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the chief internal leader of the organization and to drive the full execution of the agency's mission through effective clinical leadership, operational management, and financial performance. This executive role carries comprehensive authority over day-to-day operations, clinical compliance, staffing, and organizational performance, and partners closely with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure sustainable growth.

This role is designed for a leader who is energized by building systems, strengthening infrastructure, and guiding an organization through its next phase of strategic growth.

The Founder & CEO remains actively engaged in the organization's long-term vision and strategic direction and is seeking an Executive Director to lead internal operations with focus, strength, and clarity.

The Executive Director is entrusted with meaningful autonomy to lead the organization with confidence while operating in strategic partnership with the Founder & CEO.

Applications will be accepted for 45 days and will close on March 15, 2026, or when the position is filled, whichever comes first.

Key Responsibilities
Organizational Leadership
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the organization's daily operations
  • Translate mission and strategy into executable plans and measurable outcomes
  • Serve as the primary internal decision-maker and point of accountability
Clinical Oversight & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Provide or oversee clinical supervision in accordance with licensing requirements
  • Maintain ethical standards and quality of care across all programs
  • Lead continuous quality improvement efforts
People & Culture
  • Hold full authority for hiring, termination, and performance management
  • Build and sustain a healthy, accountable organizational culture
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels aligned with service demand and financial health
Financial & Revenue Leadership
  • Develop and manage the annual organizational budget for CEO approval
  • Partner with the COO to drive revenue growth, payer optimization, and operational efficiency
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed
Board & Executive Partnership
  • Serve as the primary operational and clinical liaison to the Board of Directors
  • Provide regular reports on organizational performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Founder & CEO on long-range strategy while maintaining operational independence
Authority & Decision-Making
  • Final authority over all operational, clinical, and personnel decisions
  • Accountable for organizational performance and compliance
Reporting Structure

Preferred Qualifications

Independent clinical licensure in Tennessee (LCSW or LPC-MHSP) strongly preferred. Equivalent executive leadership experience in behavioral health will be considered for candidates with a demonstrated ability to ensure clinical oversight through appropriate supervisory structures.
