Senior Event Services ManagerSignia by Hilton San Jose is looking for a Senior Event Services Manager to join their team This role requires candidates with 2 years of hotel event management experience handling all groups and events. The ideal candidate understands how to do BEOs, understands deadlines for rooming lists, commission, etc. Someone who has a great positive and energetic attitude, a team player, and someone who wants to be a part of Signia by HiltonThe annual salary range for this role is $85,000 to $90,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Hilton offers a best-in-market SIP (Short-Term Incentive Plan) to our Sales, Catering & Events teams to reward our employees for their contributions to our company's financial success. The Plan includes a quarterly component worth 20% of bonus eligible earnings. The quarterly incentive may have multiple opportunities to earn a payout.Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package including: medical insurance coverage, vision, dental, life and disability insurance, mental health resources, sick pay, vacation, Go Hilton travel discount program, 401(k) plan, access to your pay through DailyPay, complimentary duty meals, employee assistant program, debt-free education, career growth and development, team member resource groups, and recognition and rewards programs.What Will I Be Doing?As Senior Event Services Manager, you will be responsible for event documentation and coordination with sales, hotel departments, and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of all hotel events. This position primarily handles complex events. You will be required to ensure a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events. Serve as the event planner primary contact following turnover on property and is responsible for his/her experience. As a Team Member in this role, you will be responsible to:Organize, plan, and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes.Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.What Are We Looking For?Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
