Robert half is hiring partnering with our client in the hiring of a permanent Human Resources Generalist. We are seeking a skilled HR professional to handle various aspects of HR operations, including recruitment/onboarding, compliance, employee relations, benefits oversight, performance management, and HRIS oversight. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HR, preferably within the financial services sector, and possess exceptional communication skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and thriving organization in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.


Responsibilities:


Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Manage the full cycle of recruitment, including job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

Human Resources Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are in compliance with applicable laws and standards.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and initiatives.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Mediate and resolve employee disputes and conflicts.
  • Promote a positive work culture and foster employee engagement initiatives.

Benefits Oversight:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes and provide guidance to employees on benefit options.
  • Collaborate with benefits providers to resolve issues and ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Performance Management:

  • Support the performance management process, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.
  • Assist managers and employees in addressing performance issues and implementing improvement plans.

HRIS Oversight:

  • Maintain and update the HRIS database with accurate employee information.
  • Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of HR information.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, ADP experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
