About the Role

As Senior Copywriter at Jones Road Beauty, you will play a critical role in crafting compelling and engaging copy for a variety of marketing channels. You will be responsible for creating content that resonates with our target audience and drive engagement and conversions. The ideal candidate is highly creative, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

**This role will begin on a freelance basis at 20 - 40 hours per week, with the potential to transition to a full-time position based on mutual alignment.

What you’ll do

• Oversee and handle all copy needs for Jones Road Beauty
• Understand and embody the brand's tone of voice, contributing to the development of clear and consistent positioning and messaging across all channels.
• Write clear, concise, and stylistically correct copy for various marketing materials including direct mail, static ads, emails, SMS, blogs, landing pages, and literature for events/special projects.
• Develop and execute copy for all campaigns throughout the calendar year, including brand campaigns, product launch campaigns, brand collaborations/partnerships, and special projects related to brand activations.
• Develop and execute the necessary copy for special projects that involve Bobbi's personal brand and where it intersects with Jones Road.
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Work under the direction of the Brand Marketing team, as well as cross functionally with our Growth, Retention, and Creative teams to ensure consistent, performative messaging for all deliverables.
• Ability to receive and incorporate feedback from Bobbi and colleagues with professionalism and a positive attitude.

Who you are:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in copywriting, preferably in a start-up environment.
• Comfortable working as a team of one and handling all copy needs for the company.
• Strong project management skills.
• Proven ability to write engaging and impactful copy across various channels.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team and collaborate with a range of creative individuals.
• Highly self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage workloads effectively under pressure.
• A proactive, forward-thinking individual capable of leading projects and managing all communications to ensure high-quality work that team members find valuable.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
• An eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Demonstrated ability to show the impact of your work through metrics and results.
