Job Summary:

We are seeking a Technical Lead to join our MSP team based in Santa Rosa Beach, FL area. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of four technical professionals, serving as both a hands-on technical expert and mentor. This is a pivotal role within the company where you will drive technical excellence, manage day-to-day operations, and contribute to strategic planning. Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of four technical staff, providing guidance and ensuring productivity.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress to meet client SLAs.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Serve as the go-to technical expert in network infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and managed IT solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing Tier 3 escalation support when necessary.
  • Ensure proper implementation, configuration, and optimization of IT systems and services.
  • Project Management:
  • Oversee and manage multiple IT projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Client Engagement:
  • Work closely with clients to understand their technical needs and develop tailored IT solutions.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships, attending client meetings when necessary.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Optimize operational processes, including ticketing systems, resource allocation, and incident management.
  • Establish and enforce best practices, ensuring a proactive approach to problem resolution and system maintenance.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data security protocols and disaster recovery planning.
  • Lead cybersecurity efforts, ensuring the protection of clients’ IT environments.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends to provide innovative solutions to clients.
  • Propose improvements to tools, processes, and policies to enhance overall service quality.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 2 years in a technical leadership role, ideally within an MSP environment.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and delivering IT projects successfully.
  • Strong background in network infrastructure, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), cybersecurity, and managed IT services.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Hands-on experience with networking (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet) and virtualization technologies (VMware).
  • Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and tools (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, including migration and deployment strategies.
  • Leadership and Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Certifications: (nice to have)
  • Relevant technical certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Azure certifications, or equivalent.
