Data Extract Team Lead


As the Data Extract Team lead, you will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of data extracts, leading a team of ~4 developers and analysts dedicated to that function. This role requires strong project management and process skills, along with a reasonable understanding of SQL.


Job Responsibilities:


• Manage the process of building new data extracts

• Coordinate break-fix and other maintenance tasks.

• Apply problem solving skills to understand and solve analytical problems

• Communicate with customers to understand their needs

• Manage a small but growing team

• Have the ability to diagnose problems with complex data flows

• Learn new skills, make timely decisions, and adapt well to change

Position Requirements:


• 3-5+ years’ experience in a data-related healthcare industry role

• Moderate to strong SQL experience required

• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and think logically and analytically

• Comfortable dealing with complex data sets

• Ability to understand and develop processes and workflows

• Strong communication skills

• 1+ years of management experience a plus

• Experience with healthcare common data and quality standards, including:

• Messaging – HL7, FHIR, relevant EDI formats

• Data sources – EHRs, HIE, Plans

• Quality – HEDIS, CQMs

• APIs– REST, SOAP

• Microsoft Office experience: Excel (Deeper Knowledge Preferred), Word, PowerPoint, Visio.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other analytical discipline) or equivalent experience
