My client is a prominent transportation company operating in the Americas region and looking to add a Senior Accountant to their accounting team. With a strong presence and reputation in the industry, they offer a comprehensive range of freight solutions based of their client's need. Leveraging their extensive network nationally and globally, they efficiently manages the movement of goods across various modes of transportation, including warehousing, intermodel, and air. They are known for their customer-centric approach by consistently delivering reliable, cost-effective, and timely services, catering to diverse industries and ensuring seamless global connectivity.
Description
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly close process
- Journal Entries and General Ledgers
- Monthly and quarterly reconciliations
- ERP system implementation
- Process improvements
- Assist the Financial Controller and Senior Management in strategic planning
- Weekly P&L reporting
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business
- CPA certification highly preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting
- Transportation, distribution, or logistics experience required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge (V-Lookup, pivot tables, macros, complex formulas)
- Knowledge of GAAP
