Biomedical Equipment Technician

Biomedical Equipment Technician  

Requirements:

  • Minimum Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics, (or military training).
  • 2-3 Years Minimum Experience
  • Have a strong skill set for troubleshooting/ servicing medical devices.
  • Must have excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must have a good driving record and pass a background check, no exceptions.
  • Field Service Experience preferred.
  • BMET Certification, preferred.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to use electronic test equipment and tools.
  • Responsible for clerical needs, including completeness and accuracy of service reports and inspection recording.
  • Responsible for inventory control.
  • Must exhibit good customer relations skills.
  • Must work closely with the Corporate Back office. 
  • Provides, or assists in providing, user in-service training and new equipment evaluation as requested.
  • Tracks safety and quality related issues as required by the facility serviced.
  • Operates and maintains test equipment to high standards. 
  • Tracks test equipment, parts inventory and other assets as assigned. Maintains accurate quantity and locations for all company assets under his/her control.
  • Must be available for after hours service calls and participate in the on-call rotation if asked to do so.
  • Must be able to drive for long periods of time that may require out of town stays.
  • Must be able to keep company vehicles clean and presentable.
  • Must be properly groomed and presentable.
  • Must be able to use digital media as needed.
