Join our exciting sales development team.Our Sales Development Team partners with Field and Inside Sales organization to guide the early stages of the sales cycle and assist with new customer acquisition. We work closely with the other teams to follow-up on campaigns and events to increase pipeline and generate demand for new customer revenue opportunities.Become a trusted advisor to customers.As a Sales Development Representative, you will identify and qualify enterprise account sales leads and opportunities. You will focus on analyzing business needs by conducting information-gathering to pre-qualifying opportunities through phone, social and email contact. You will be generating outbound qualified leads for regional or international sales teams.As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for:Identifying, prospecting and penetrating sales accounts to achieve pipeline and forecast goalsUpdating lead and prospect activity in salesforce to ensure KPI attainmentCollaborating in a business-to-business sales environment to position our technology solutions to a varied audienceSetting qualified introductory meetings for sales team and nurturing top of funnel pipeline to facilitate sales opportunitiesDo what you love.To be successful in this role you will:Have 2 years of relevant experienceDemonstrate experience of selling within the sales cycleHave experience identifying business needs through information-gathering to pre-qualify opportunitiesBe comfortable speaking with decision makers via various mediums (social, email, phone and video)Have experience with Microsoft Office, Salesloft/Xant or Salesforce.comEnjoy working in a team and have a desire to grow in the organizationWork in a way that works for you.FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world. For US based candidates only - The On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) for this position ranges from $61,400 - $127,600/year; a candidate's OTE is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
