As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing paving projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your technical expertise and project management skills will be essential in coordinating with customers, subcontractors, and team members.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and oversee project activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor progress to ensure adherence to project schedules.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, and team members to resolve issues and ensure project success.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the project team.
  • Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures when possible.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.


Requirements


Skills needed to qualify:

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in road construction.
  • Knowledge of the local contractors and businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office programs and B2W suite of software is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven record of being a self-starter and able to work under limited supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean MVR with DMV for five years or more
  • Minimum OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training and OSHA 30-Hour Construction (preferably)
  • High School Diploma or GED and Graduate from certified technical trade school
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
