Z. Wilson Talent Solutions is conducting a confidential search for a Vice President of Talent Acquisition for one of our key clients.


The Vice President of Talent Acquisition will spearhead the development and enhancement of our Talent Acquisition function and team. This leader will oversee the recruitment and orientation services, ensuring effective delivery and management. The role involves assessing and refining talent acquisition team members, policies, processes, tools, techniques, and technology to meet recruitment goals and objectives. Additionally, the VP will focus on optimizing our employer brand, employee value proposition, candidate experience, and performance metrics as we grow. We seek a leader capable of driving strategic initiatives, developing team members, and acting as a player-coach when necessary.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current state of the talent acquisition function, including people, processes, policies, tools, techniques, and technology.
  • Design, develop, and execute an enterprise talent acquisition strategy and service delivery model aimed at optimizing the candidate experience and enhancing organizational capacity and capability.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and process owner for end-to-end talent acquisition processes, including position planning, requisitioning, sourcing, screening, selection, decision-making, offers, acceptance, post-offer processes, pre-hire activities, and day-one new hire orientation.
  • Lead and mentor the talent acquisition team, building scalable sourcing and recruiting models for both high quality and high volume, ensuring client focus and service at scale while delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Drive productivity and efficiency within the Talent Acquisition team by setting performance metrics, monitoring progress, and implementing best practices.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the talent acquisition team, setting priorities, assigning accountabilities, fostering a culture of accountability and performance through operational efficiencies, and enhancing ongoing performance.
  • Design and execute compliant recruitment and orientation processes, staying updated with changing laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.
  • Develop and implement standardized recruitment methodologies from vacancy through orientation.
  • Regularly identify and implement operational enhancements and best practices in Talent Acquisition processes, workflows, technology, and programs to achieve outstanding efficiency levels.
  • Ensure all stakeholders receive training and are competent in their specific recruitment activities.
  • Collaborate internally across the enterprise while maintaining an external focus on best practices, regulatory requirements, and the competitive environment.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors for recruitment advertising, including digital marketing, social media platforms, and career fair participation.
  • Oversee agency relationships, contract negotiations, and service delivery based on established service level agreements and performance metrics, continuously reviewing and managing vendor performance.
  • Partner with People Operations and Experience to enhance the utilization of iCIMS for better talent processes and maintaining data integrity.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure recruitment processes are automated and streamlined within the applicant tracking system.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Talent Management, VP of People Operations and Experience, IT, and relevant departments to ensure seamless integration into the orientation and onboarding experience.



Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a similar field is required.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 12+ years of talent acquisition experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in talent acquisition.
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) are required; ATS implementation experience is preferred.
