The Vice President of Revenue Cycle will lead revenue cycle operations, ensuring optimal revenue integrity, overall strategy, and overseeing the integration and efficiency of revenue cycle operations for the system’s acute care hospital, outpatient facilities, and medical practices. Key areas of responsibility include scheduling, registration, insurance verification, financial counseling, charge master, charge capture, patient financial services, provision of charity, and overall collection of patient service revenues across the revenue cycle. The Vice President will also influence decisions related to investments and changes in net revenue enhancement tactics, software applications, outsourcing vendors, recovery projects, and other interventions to collect the net revenue associated with patient services delivered.

This Vice President will report to the Chief Financial Officer, who has been with this system for 30 years. He is described as an employee advocate, barrier remover, and an engaged leader that wants to hire this expert and get out of their way. When describing off-the-resume traits, he is looking for a leader who is capable of leading and influencing others, the presence and confidence to be compassionate, and must be able to collaborate with the team. This Vice President will have 5 to 6 direct reports with 200+ FTEs.

This hospital will be focused on an Epic implementation by fourth quarter, so experience in Epic is a must have. The first 15 months of this person will be heavily involved in the implementation, training, and acclimating to the Epic system. Someone that can drive the process in this implementation will be a key factor in success for this role.

Salary: The salary midpoint for this role is 250k based on years of experience and education. This position offers up to 25k in relocation assistance.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field required. Masters degree required in related field. 10 years in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management required, 5 years at the Director level and up required for consideration. Vice President level experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office) Experience working in the Epic –2+ years required Excellent presentation skills and ability to create executive-level presentations and deliverables Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player Ability to excel in a team environment and build strong interpersonal relationships with all levels of employees Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
