Job Title: Sales Assistant - Automotive Parts
Work hour: 9:00 am- 5:00 pm (7h/d)Location: Itasca, IL (Hybrid: 1-3 days a week onsite after 3-month probational period)FLSA: Non-Exempt, Direct-Hire, Full-TimeAn international automotive related distributor in Itasca, IL, is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the Sales Manager in managing the entire order process, from order receipt to invoicing. Responsibilities include placing orders with suppliers, coordinating logistics, ensuring timely deliveries, and assisting with searching for potential new customers to drive sales opportunities. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience in B2B customer service, sales administration, and logistics coordination.
Responsibilities:Order Management: Process customer orders, acknowledge receipt, and place orders with suppliers (both domestic and overseas).Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with forwarders customs clearance, freight arrangements, and domestic deliveries.Payment Processing: Monitor payments to forwarders and suppliers and track payment collections from customers.Inventory Management: Enter data into internal and customer systems, manage inventory levels, and ensure appropriate stock levels in the warehouse and transit.Quotations: Create customer quotations and calculate costs and profits.Documentation: Prepare reports and documents based on internal, customer, and supplier requests.Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers, forwarders, and customers to ensure smooth operations.Lead Generation Assist: Search and initiate first contact with potential customers.
Qualifications:2 or more years of related experience such as B2B Customer Service, Sales admiration, and logistics coordination required.Basic to Intermediate MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills are required.Excellent work ethic and communication skills are required.
