Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 am-2 pm


Position: Shipping & Receiving Specialist, part-time (approximately 25 hours/week). This role has growth potential in pay, hours, and benefits.


Overview of Position: Most of this role is in a temperature-controlled shipping room with a small portion in the warehouse. It is not a heavy-lifting job but more about speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. This role performs various product packing and shipping; receives shipments, and stocks incoming materials and supplies.


The work environment is a small business with about a dozen team members. We value a strong work ethic and focus on our work with a happy, positive attitude. There’s no drama; we are friendly and inclusive. People are acknowledged, encouraged, and appreciated.

Roles & Responsibilities Shipping:

  •  Process all inbound and outbound shipments, including sorting, logging, delivering, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure that proper products, accessories, and marketing collateral are shipped with the orders. Audit each shipment before packing to ensure that goods match orders.
  • Pack boxes and palletize for freight shipments. Must be able to use a pallet jack to move pallets of product in the warehouse and production area
  • Prepare any special packaging such as displays, shippers, or gift boxes
  • Prepare shipping/receiving documentation; maintain orderly files for all documents.
  • Track shipments; manage returned or missing customer orders; communicate to ensure the issue is resolved and replacement orders sent.
  • Communicate with customers via phone or email regarding their orders as needed.


Receiving

Shipping & Receiving Specialist Part-Time

  • Receive incoming freight. Process all receiving transactions and paperwork. Inspect all incoming freight for damage; follow up to resolve issues of any damaged freight.
  • Receive incoming packages and freight shipments and store them in the proper location.

General

  • Perform required administrative tasks; prepare all the necessary reports and correspondence.
  •  Conduct weekly and monthly inventories of products and supplies
  • Oversee and maintain materials, packing supplies, and inventory in the warehouse, shipping/packing area, breakroom, and office.
  • Assist in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in the warehouse, shipping/packing area, and other common areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Physical Demands

  • 1-2 years of job-related experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in using computers and able to learn quickly
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Must be able to stand all day, bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to use a pallet jack
  • Our facility is drug and smoke-free.
