Job description

Are you a skilled sales professional looking to make a significant impact in the rapidly-expanding New York recreational cannabis market? Naturae is a vertically integrated cannabis processor serving New York state, and we are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join our team. As the Upstate NY Territory Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing relationships with dispensaries throughout the territory. You will use your sales expertise to generate new business and ensure customer satisfaction while promoting our brand and products.


Responsibilities:

  • Travel: This role requires regular travel to recreational dispensaries all across a territory covering the following regions: Capital District, North Country, Mohawk Valley, Southern Tier [partial], Mid-Hudson [partial].
  • Sales Strategy: Implement strategies and policies provided by the Chief Revenue Officer to achieve sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Internal Communication: Participate in internal sales meetings to establish clear expectations and defined goals.
  • Relationship Management: Actively maintain and nurture relationships with recreational dispensaries through proactive and consistent communication.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent Naturae as the primary in-house Brand Ambassador, attending industry events and maintaining a strong industry presence.
  • Expectation Management: Proactively manage expectations throughout the sales process, providing ongoing communication both internally and externally.
  • Networking: Build relationships with industry associations, vendors, and other relevant contacts to expand the company's network.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with the Distribution team to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
  • Marketing Support: Work closely with the Marketing team to update and distribute employer brand and value proposition materials.
  • Sales Metrics: Track and report on sales metrics, continually working to improve sales volume, units sold, and customer and vendor portfolio.
  • Sales Tasks: Complete various sales-related tasks, both scheduled and spontaneous, within given deadlines.
  • Sales Processes: Understand and execute efficient processes for sales order processing, data tracking, reporting, and sales schedules.


Qualification Requirements:

  • Candidates residing in the Capital District are highly preferred.
  • 2 years of retail account sales experience required.
  • 2 years of CPG Sales experience required.
  • Account Management, Sales experience preferred.
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent required.
  • Ability to travel extensively (estimated 3-4 days per week) to stores throughout the territory.
  • Proficiency in KPIs and metrics, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including professional email correspondence.
  • Ability to establish strong credibility, build relationships, and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • High level of integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player mentality.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a diverse, multicultural, and multigenerational environment.
  • Must be 21+ years old, possess a valid Driver’s License, and have no violent crime or controlled substance felonies and be able to pass additional background screening.
