The Director of Sales will spearhead regional sales strategy in the electronic security and converged solutions sector. Responsibilities include leading a team to generate new sales and revenue, covering a range of solutions from access control to artificial intelligence. The Sales Director will recruit, hire, and coach the sales team, utilizing prior industry insight to drive success. Candidates must be local or within a commutable distance to Wilmington, MA; this role requires on-site presence.Responsibilities include:Sales team leadership and development: collaborate with the regional management team to lead, coach, train, and develop sales teams for both Enterprise and Commercial customers; mentor and coach sales professionals, supporting activities in assigned vertical markets and complex negotiationsSales strategy implementation: collaborate with the Vice President of Sales Operations to implement and drive adoption of sales tools, training, and standards within the sales team; provide strategic direction to help the assigned region achieve booking and business development targetsCustomer engagement: attend customer-facing meetings with sales professionals, adding insight and strategic coaching in a sales environment; maintain thorough knowledge of the industry, structure, trends, and issues to understand customer business goals and requirementsAccount development and capture management: assist field sales teams in developing existing customer accounts and relationships, examining the customer's business, and finding the strategic impact of offerings; drive collaboration and provide capture management on strategic deals, including cross-functional team coordination, customer presentations, and price settingSales planning and pipeline management: develop and monitor sales account plans, considering market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity; conduct weekly pipeline reviews with sales professionals to ensure a diverse and robust pipeline meeting assigned sales goalsBusiness relationship cultivation: cultivate effective business relationships between sales professionals and customers to communicate the full scope of Allied Universal Technology Services' solutions; establish strong sales practices with the team to consistently meet and exceed company and regional sales goalsExpense management and policy enforcement: manage expenses, maximizing return on investment and profit; observe and enforce company policies and proceduresQualifications include:Current driver's license if driving a company vehicleMust possess one or more of the following:Bachelor's degree plus at least five (5) years of technical sales experience in a related field selling to commercial end usersAssociate's degree in with a minimum of seven (7) years of technical sales experience in a related field selling to commercial end usersHigh School diploma with a minimum of ten (10) years of technical sales experience in a related field selling to commercial end usersMinimum of three (3) years of management experienceSkilled in hiring and developing sales teams for superior resultsProficient in using Salesforce.com for metrics-driven reportingExperienced in overseeing key sales activities and strategic selling techniquesExceptional organizational and communication skillsCollaborative leadership with problem-solving abilityDemonstrated strong networking experience and drive to position Allied Universal Technology Services as an industry leaderAbility to build strong internal relationships at all organizational levels and manage effectively under difficult service delivery timeframes; excellent oral and written communication skillsDedicated to high-quality customer service and integrityProficient in web-based applications and Microsoft programsPreferred qualifications include:Sales leadership experience in the electronic security industryCompensation and benefits include:Base salary: $150,000 to $170,000 (based on experience), plus bonus, auto allowanceMedical, dental, vision, retirement plan, basic life, AD&D, and disability insuranceEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal daysVacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
