User Experience Designer

This role will work closely with product managers, engineering counterparts, and other designers In the space. They’ll also collaborate with business partners in retail operations to learn more about the inner workings of our stores.


An ideal candidate should

  • Have a bias for action, feeling empowered to trust instincts and to make decisions that are grounded in data – both qualitative and quantitative
  • Have a passion for process design
  • Quickly understand the unique challenges our associates and customers face with in-store checkout and document findings for visibility
  • Posses the ability to confidently facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions
  • Build relationships across Kroger, acting as a catalyst for collaboration

Nice to haves

  • Experience or familiarity working with payment systems
  • Technical knowledge
  • Experience with analytics and UX success metrics
  • In proximity to a Kroger store or one of its banners, to get firsthand experience in the field
