Research: Perform complex legal and non-legal research, including legislative and regulatory histories, using online and print resources

Due Diligence: Assist in conducting restricted party screenings and corporate research on prospective clients and on behalf of firm clients

Competitive Intelligence: Work closely with attorneys, legal staff, marketing, and other administrative departments to support current awareness monitoring and business development activities

Conflicts & New Business Intake: Conduct preliminary conflict checks and research on prospective clients. Assist in new client intake and opening new matters.

Professional Development: Pursue continuing education opportunities and read professional literature to stay current on technological and research developments and industry best practices

Location: Washington, DC

Work: Onsite

Required: Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution

One to three years experience in a research role in a law firm library

Experience performing legal, legislative, corporate, business, competitive intelligence and due diligence research

Proficient in standard online research resources.

Excellent written and oral communication skills


Day Shift: Monday through Friday

Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
