Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Assistant to support our production and merchandising teams. The ideal candidate will assist with tracking product development, managing communication between vendors and internal teams, and coordinating sample stages for approval. This role is essential for ensuring timely production and delivery of high-quality streetwear products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management & Logistics: 
  • Schedule & attend production meetings with Team & vendors, taking detailed notes for follow-up on action items.
  • Maintain the Project Tracker in Monday.com to ensure the team is on top of timelines and milestones.
  • Sample Management:
  • Coordinate sample shipments to and from domestic & international vendors, ensuring timely deliveries and proper documentation (tracking #s, customs clearance, etc).
  • Monitor sampling & approval stages, following up with relevant teams and vendors throughout the product development process.
  • Organize and prepare samples for Tech Designer & Fit Models for fit sessions.
  • Vendor & Factory Relationships: 
  • Beyond simple communication, managing complex relationships with vendors and factories is crucial. This can include traveling to vendor locations or factories for quality checks or resolving production issues on-site​
  • Communicate with vendors on sampling, production & delivery timelines, and instructions (e.g., tech packs, BOMs, size breaks, folding/packing instructions).
  • Obtain approval for SMU (Special Make-Up) developments with licensed brands.
  • Data Entry & Reporting: 
  • Manage product style setup, including assigning style numbers, UPC codes, and product attributes. 
  • Complete production POs against a checklist of criteria.


Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in production and/or merchandising, preferably in apparel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with PLM (Odoo, Full Circle, SAP) & project management tools (Monday.com, Asana or Airtable) is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator) is a plus.
