Job Summary:


As a Purchasing Manager, you will manage house cost categories, oversee bid timelines, negotiate with trade partners, and formulate contracts for new and existing communities. You will analyze house costs, evaluate trade partner performance, and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Manage house costs, including bid documents, cost analysis, and contracts for new communities.
  • Pursue cost savings through competitive bidding and cost analysis tools.
  • Ensure accuracy of category quantities through plan review and field audits.
  • Supervise estimating tasks and manage field file releases and start dates.
  • Champion new building products, selections, and colors.
  • Oversee trade partner relations, including recruitment, negotiations, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and construction teams on community setup and maintenance.
  • Lead select new community setup projects.
  • Improve HQ Rebate program for proper revenue capture.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Operations.


Qualifications and Skills:


Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced accounting/finance preferred.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Purchasing Software.

Strong business acumen and understanding of purchasing cost impact.

Experience in purchasing and supply chain management.

Skilled in cost-transparent negotiation and vendor partnership development.

Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment.

Home Front experience is a must-have qualification.
