If you have great vision to see how how to systems benefit end users with the ability to reverse engineer these product through customer needs - this is a position for you.


We are looking for an open minded electrical engineer that understands there are numerous ways to develop functioning systems and that has broad experience, not just updating schematic drawings. Downstream NPI exposure is also very advantageous but not an absolute requirement.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, build, and test high quality PCBAs and electronic systems (schematic and layout)
  • Architect electrical systems, from system-level to circuit-level, given a set or written requirements
  • Perform board bring-up with initial hardware testing
  • Design and develop around MCUs and ARM microcontrollers
  • Conduct fabrication and testing of prototype systems, and documents design modifications as required.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering teams to design and develop new boards and/or products
  • Use engineering methodology and procedures to apply principles to design and development project per company SOP.



Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Able to write reports on nonconformities.
  • Able to read blueprints and have basic machining knowledge such as GD&T.
  • Solid research and information-gathering skills, as well as superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent understanding of product compliance management tools, such as Paradigm 5 and Intellect Compliance
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.


Minimum Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 10 years of experience in a related field; or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of system level mixed-signal architecture. Experience architecting multi-board

systems.

• Proven track record of turning written requirements into finished designs.

• Proven experience with the OrCAD software suite for schematic capture, layout, and simulation.

• Strong knowledge of layout requirements for signal integrity of high-speed digital signals.

• Strong knowledge of layout requirements for power delivery and switching buck and boost

regulators.

• Strong knowledge of analog signal processing (filtering and amplification circuit design).

• Outstanding problem-solving resolution and attention to detail, willing to lead by example

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Outstanding work ethic, organizational and multi-tasking skills

• Ability to work both independently and on a multidisciplinary engineering team



Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering and/or 10 years of relevant experience

• Experience with writing release-quality embedded software (firmware) in C/C++.

• Experience with EMI/EMC regulatory approval requirements for release to global markets.

• Experience with integrating embedded microcontrollers (ARM, STM32, PIC24, etc.)

• Proven track record working in the industrial/laboratory instrumentation industry

• Proven track record of releasing designs to production
