We serve patients in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler, and Lake Counties with a dedicated team of therapists, clinicians, and staff committed to carrying on AdventHealths mission in the communities we serve.As an Occupational Therapy Assistant in an outpatient setting, you will provide professional direct and indirect occupational therapy services to specific age groups in outpatient rehabilitation settings. You will utilize process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department and practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide the best practice to the patient/client.The role you will contribute:Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist in a professional manner and within hospital standards.Deliver therapy aimed at improving patients' functional abilities and quality of life and adhere to the corporate compliance plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.The value you will bring to the team:Implements treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist; and through consideration of practice standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.Uses appropriate therapy procedures, documents data, and follows individualized care plans set by the occupational therapist.Provides patient and family education, including home exercise programs for treatment carryover into the discharge setting.Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures, and other extensions of clinical expertise to the community.Qualifications:Associate [Required]Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) [Required]Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]Preference Qualification: Experience with treating Pediatric patients in Outpatient clinicsThis facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations, and ordinances.
