LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Legal Assistant for a fantastic firm in Roseland, NJ. The role is in support of the family law department. The Legal Assistant will collaborate closely with colleagues and lead attorneys, providing essential support to navigate the dynamic and demanding nature of family law cases. This opportunity is direct hire, full time, and on-site.



Responsibilities

  • :Provide comprehensive support to the legal team, including attorneys, by efficiently managing calendars, deadlines, and appointments; facilitate meetings and appointments, coordinating schedules and logistics plus coordination of court appearances and hearing
  • sHandle scanning and emailing of documents to courts and clients, maintaining accurate record
  • sDraft legal documents under attorney supervision and conduct investigative research to support case preparatio
  • nInteract directly with clients, offering support throughout the legal process, including assisting in e-filing of documents with the court
  • sAssist with client billing, reports, and collection

Qualification

  • s:Minimum of five (5) years of experience in family l
  • awDemonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite and Kof
  • axExcellent word processing and computer skills, coupled with strong organizational and time-management abilities, and exemplary written and verbal communication skil
  • lsFamiliarity with principles of NJ family law, statutes, codes, court processes, and rules of cou
  • rtAbility to work effectively with people experiencing personal crises or when relations are strained, demonstrating skill in prioritizing and managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and following up on assignmen
  • tsMust have digital dictation skills and be willing to work overtime if request
