Period of Performance: One (1) year starting Contract Award with the possibility of four

(4) additional one-year base periods based on performance and VA CMOP requirements.


Place of Performance: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) located at 3675 E. Britannia Dr. Tucson, Arizona 85706.


Operational Hours: Two Shift Operations 6:00/7:00 AM through 2:30/3:30 PM and 2:30/3:30 PM through 11:00 PM/ 12:00 (staggered start times) Monday through Friday.


Overview: The Facility Administrator (FA) will oversee and manage on-site operations at the VA CMOP. The FA will supervise a diverse team comprised of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Shipper/Packers, ensuring the efficient operation of the facility, and maintaining high standards in human resources, project management, and business operations. The CMOP supports all fifty states, Washington D. C., Puerto Rico, and US Territories, and processes over 130 million prescriptions annually.


Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree.

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of work experience that reflects strong on-site managerial and leadership abilities in a large Pharmacy Distribution Center, overseeing more than 30 personnel, and experience in business operations, project management, and human resources.
  • Must hold a Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or higher) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.


Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and lead a large team, ensuring compliance with VA CMOP policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support in daily operations, ensuring staff productivity, attendance, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Effectively address human resource-related issues, including but not limited to conflict resolution with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Manage day-to-day business operations within the facility, ensuring efficient workflow, high quality, and productivity levels, as well as cost-effective practices.
  • Collaborate with upper management to align facility operations with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead and oversaw projects within the facility, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies, including Six Sigma practices, to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development of staff.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of attendance, productivity, and other HR-related metrics.
