A client of Insight Global is looking for a Director of Merchandising in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a permanent opportunity located in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is a hybrid opportunity, requiring 3 days of onsite work and 2 days of remote work per week. This person will be responsible for leading and implementing merchandising strategies, including promotion and branding. This person will work closely with fellow directors and managers to develop plans, conduct research, gather data, set goals, establish budgets, and build relationships with external partners.

The daily responsibilities include:

  • Merchandise Planning: Developing merchandise plans and pricing that support key strategic initiatives, product launches, top-selling items, seasonal campaigns, and trends.
  • Vendor Management: Partnering across functions to manage vendor relationships, identify new vendors, and negotiate favorable contract terms.
  • Analytics and Trends: Utilizing sales, research, and trend analytics to create strategies for merchandise categories and optimize product assortments.
  • Financial Objectives: Directing and developing merchandising plans and operational systems to achieve financial goals.


The requirements of the role include:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Merchandising Director
  • Leadership experience - managing a team of at least 2 employees
  • Product experience
