Wynmoor Community Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join their team The Facilities Manager is responsible for the managerial, communications, and administrative oversight of the General Services Maintenance and Facilities departments.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and exercises direction over the operations function.

• Coordinates premises permits with the city building department.

• Conducts emergency and disaster planning including hurricane preparedness.

• Examines and analyses current methods of operation, preventive maintenance, and department expenditures.

• Prepares budget recommendations with input from department heads.

• Plans and supervises the inventory control department to ensure proper quantities of needed materials.

• Provide ongoing direction, guidance, and training to maintenance personnel and management staff.

• Collaborate to enhance policy, processes, and programs to improve maintenance operations.

• Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and regulations about facility maintenance

• Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

• Day-to-day operations following Department policies and guidelines.


Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years in a building management/superintendent role.

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management or a related field.

• Must have a valid Florida driver's license.

• Relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered

• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels and across departments.

• Strong working knowledge of management procedures, budgeting, training, and program implementation.

• Understanding and ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical systems.

• Must possess a strong working knowledge of OSHA standards, fire, safety procedures, and regulations.

• Must complete and pass pre-employment screenings. Background check and drug test also required.
