We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Rock Star Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a crucial member of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and possess exceptional leadership skills. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, particularly during high-pressure brunch services. The Sous Chef must be adept at working on the line when needed, demonstrating excellent culinary skills, and inspiring respect from the kitchen team.

We can offer a schedule with work life balance in a positive enviroment. Our FOH & BOH are all hard working and self motivated. We need someone with experience and confidence to join our team that can add value.  



Hands-On Leadership:

  • Lead by example, actively participating in all aspects of kitchen operations, from prep work to service on the line.
  • Work alongside the kitchen team during busy brunch services to ensure quality and consistency in dishes
  • Attention to detail 
  1. Line Cook Experience:
  • Execute and oversee the preparation of menu items during brunch service.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the team to expedite orders efficiently.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and camaraderie.
  1. Expeditor Role:
  • Take charge of the expo station during peak brunch hours.
  • Ensure that orders are accurately and promptly assembled for final presentation.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to facilitate a smooth flow of service.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee consistency and excellence in every dish.
  • Conduct regular tastings to ensure that all menu items meet our high standards.
  1. Menu Development:
  • Collaborate with the head chef on menu development and enhancements.
  • Contribute creative ideas and culinary expertise to keep our menu fresh and appealing.
  1. Kitchen Management:
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  1. Leadership and Respect:
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with kitchen staff, earning their respect through exemplary work ethic and leadership.
  • Resolve conflicts promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavors, and trends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
