We are a transformative stealth health tech startup in the wellness space, focused on creating an innovative platform that empowers users to take control of their wellness journey. Our founders are serial entrepreneurs with a significant track record of multiple successful outcomes, and we are backed by four industry-leading VCs.


Our consumer app enables users to organize, track, and discover the right nutrients and products to help them achieve their unique health goals.  

We are looking for a Design Partner to lead our product design efforts for 4 months this fall while our Head of Design is on paternity leave.


As the Design Partner, you will lead the end-to-end design process, collaborating closely with our co-founders, head of product, engineers, and the rest of our cross-functional team. You will be responsible for creating user-centered designs that are simple, beautiful, and effective, ensuring consistency and scalability across our app and web surfaces.


Duration:


September to December 2024. During the month of September you will overlap with our Head of Design to learn our design system and integrate with our team before his paternity leave. 


Responsibilities:


Design Leadership:

  • Lead the end-to-end design process from initial research and concept development to final implementation and iteration.
  • Collaborate with co-founders, head of product, engineers, and cross-functional teams to define and prioritize design requirements focused on user-centered experiences.
  • Present and articulate design decisions to stakeholders, clearly explaining the rationale behind your choices and how they align with user needs and business objectives.

Design Execution:

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs to effectively execute on design concepts and interactions.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency and scalability across the app and web surfaces.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and iterate on design solutions.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and implementation accuracy.
  • Maintain clear communication and alignment between cross-functional teams, ensuring a cohesive design vision.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record (6+ years) of product design experience, with a strong history of creating successful digital products.
  • Expertise in creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Experience developing and maintaining design systems.
  • Exceptional user research and usability testing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Passion for health and wellness, with a commitment to making a positive impact in the industry.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Previous experience at startups or tech companies is preferred.

Location:

We are a remote-first organization that meets every six weeks for a team onsite in person. Our team is based in the New York and Los Angeles areas, and our onsites are primarily held in NYC. New York Tri-State area and Los Angeles metropolitan area candidates are preferred.
