  • Design and Development:
  • Create detailed tool designs, including jigs, fixtures, molds, and dies, using CAD software.
  • Develop innovative tool concepts that improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Ensure tool designs meet industry standards and company specifications.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with engineers, production teams, and machinists to understand tool requirements and ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to improve designs.
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components for tool production.
  • Prototyping and Testing:
  • Oversee the prototyping process, ensuring that tools are tested and validated before full-scale production.
  • Make necessary adjustments to designs based on testing and feedback.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to tool performance and durability.
  • Documentation:
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including drawings, specifications, and user manuals.
  • Ensure all designs are properly archived and accessible for future reference.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies related to tool design.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing tools and processes.
