Summary:

A Fortune 500 Chemical & Coatings Company is looking to bring on a new Lead Project Engineer. This is a full time position that is on site in Akron, OH.


Responsibilities:

  • Apply industry-standard design, construction, and maintenance codes such as API for oil and gas, ASME for pressure vessels, NFPA for fire protection, and ASCE for structural engineering.
  • Ensure adherence to stringent state and local building codes, insurance requirements, and rigorous environmental regulations to guarantee project compliance.
  • Utilize advanced technology to develop project designs, drawing on extensive industrial and processing experience to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support site mechanical integrity programs by executing coded repairs and replacements of critical vessels, enhancing operational reliability and safety.
  • Maintain strict compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures, policies, and codes to uphold a safe working environment and mitigate operational risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent field experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing experience in industrial manufacturing or chemical process environments.
  • Proven experience leading capital projects of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting project objectives.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SAP; familiarity with Sigma Logic is advantageous.
