Salary Range: $62,000 to $80,000+ annually, based on experience (factors such as type of industry, systems knowledge, and other factors dictate higher salary level)


Schedule: 100% onsite, Monday through Friday, standard business hours (generally 8:00am to 4:30pm)


Responsibilities:

  • Independently process RFPs, RFIs and RFQs to assist business owners with specific project needs.
  • Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and ensure compliance with purchasing guidelines.
  • Source new product streams, acquire new vendors, and develop innovative strategies.
  • Responsible for data management with regards to purchases and contracts and work to develop purchasing standard methodologies.


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of purchasing experience required. Experience shall include but not limited to management of RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, processing of Requisitions and Purchase Orders, managing vendor relationships, cost reduction and consolidation.
  • Hands on experience working through all facets of the Purchasing cycle either in a manual or automated process.
  • Strong command of purchasing management fundamentals.
  • Must have experience dealing with internal and external customers/vendors.
  • Advanced computer skills required (Adobe Pro, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word).
  • Experience working with Lawson ERP systems preferred but not required
  • Experience working in the electric industry preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to adapt to different personalities.
  • Willingness to work additional hours at peak operating cycles
