Job Title: ED Registration I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an ED Registration I. In this role, you will be responsible for managing onsite patient registration, arrival processes, discharge procedures, and insurance validation with occasional guidance. You will help resolve issues related to billing, insurance, and payments, providing excellent customer service to patients throughout their healthcare experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all assigned registration and administrative functions according to departmental policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate entry of patient data into admissions, discharge, transfer, and billing systems.
  • Provide timely updates and support to patients in waiting rooms, exam rooms, and before discharge.
  • Request payments and offer information on payment plans for account balances as necessary.
  • Assist with problem resolution related to registration, billing, and insurance verification.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Documentation (Novice): Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.
  • Critical Thinking (Novice): Use objective analysis to evaluate issues and form sound judgments.
  • Data Entry (Novice): Efficiently transcribe information into electronic systems following instructions.

Qualifications:
