Job Title: Federal Procurement Attorney

Location: Washington DC metropolitan area

Job Type- Contract (40 hours/week)

Contract Duration: 1-3 Years


Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on federal procurement laws, regulations, and policies
  • Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of procurement contracts.
  • Advise on contract administration, modifications, and terminations.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and audits of procurement practices.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with procurement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other relevant statutes and regulations.
  • Represent the agency in bid protests, contract disputes, and other procurement-related litigation.
  • Prepare and file necessary pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations, hearings, and trials as needed.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on federal procurement law and best practices
  • Provide updates on changes in federal procurement laws and regulations.


Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing federal procurement law
  • Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other applicable regulations
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling federal procurement matters, including contract formation, administration, disputes, and compliance
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Experience with government contracting and the unique challenges it presents
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
