COO Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage the finance, HR, and operations teams, ensuring transparency and accountability across all functions.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management, ensuring the financial health of the organization.
  • Collaborate with the CEO on financial planning and budget reviews, keeping senior leadership informed of financial progress and challenges.
  • Supervise the annual audit process, work with external auditors and the finance committee, and implement necessary changes.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve operational performance.
  • Update and enforce business policies, HR practices, and accounting procedures to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory documents are properly filed and the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee human resource functions, including handbook updates, training, development, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance evaluations, and recruiting.
  • Lead the development and implementation of an IT plan that meets the organization's growing needs.
  • Support facilities and infrastructure to ensure they meet the operational needs of the organization.


COO Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have proven experience overseeing financial data quality, reporting, and audit coordination, preferably for a division or significant program area. Experience managing human resources functions is also highly desirable.

Salary: up to $130,000.00, depending on experience.
Working Model: In-office in San Antonio, TX.
