As a result, our gripping brand experiences inspire audiences to action. IMC experiences are multifaceted and range from ballroom productions to immersive experiential activations.


JOB SUMMARY

The Creative Director acts as a creative lead on all client-facing projects, and is a strong voice internally on all creative communication. This includes being an extremely strong communicator on overall Studio strategy and concepts, working with a design team to align on art direction, roles, and responsibilities properly, and connecting with internal leadership on overall status and planning. Additionally, creative direction isn't just a discipline at IMC—it's an understanding of how to develop relationships and have a perspective, but knowing when to step back and listen and when to lean in and act. The Creative Director is conceptual, strategic, kind, and passionate, can share and sell ideas, and encourage, uplift, and teach others to do the same. The Creative Director reports to VP of Creative.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Deliver bold, refreshing designs within IMC and client brand identity systems, leading, directing, and taking projects from concept to fruition
  • Lead and oversee a design team with a management growth path
  • Oversee project management within the Creative Team
  • Implement rounds of internal and client revisions with speed, quality, and accuracy
  • Artistic flexibility, versatility, and ability to execute concepts in a range of design styles and relevance to current design trends
  • Supports in copywriting needs, scripting, and overall creative writing
  • Lead in deck preparation for pitches and presentations, as well as presenting final concepts
  • Supports the production process from concept to completion
  • Present and articulate on-strategy creative ideas and designs to team and clients when called upon
  • Collaborate with the creative team, fabricators, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Hold a BFA or MFA from a design, visual arts, or related program
  • 7-10 years of experience at a design studio, marketing agency, or equivalent
  • Solid command of foundational design principles
  • Strong understanding of space design, floorplans, user flow, decor, lighting, and materials
  • Must have experience in meetings and shows and stage design
  • Highly organized, manage a structured workflow with an eye for detail
  • Knowledge of traditional art skills including 2D + 3D design, composition, color theory, and video/animation
  • Strong sense of self-motivation, self-starter mentality, initiative, and time management skills
  • Must be able to thrive in a highly creative, fast-paced environment; we juggle a lot of projects for a lot of clients across a lot of industries
  • Demonstrated ability to be a strategic thinker, driven by flawless execution, innovation, optimism, and passion
  • Strong communicator, internally and externally
  • Demonstrated success at building strong cross-functional relationships in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Comfortable within a MacOS environment
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Experience working directly in the experiential marketing field, broadcast design, B2B marketing
  • Able to thrive in a remote work environment
  • Willingness to travel to event venues for site visits and event execution (including on weekends and/or evenings, if required)


PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Project management and manager experience is a plus
  • Experience with Asana
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Comfortable within macOS environment


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a discretionary annual bonus.
